Hello, My name is Pastor Scott Dennis. I welcome you to Central Baptist Church's web site. At Central we are making Christ central in our lives and inspiring others to do the same as we make disciples, mature believers, multiply ministries, and maximize missions.  We believe that church is not a “what” but a “who”.  What I mean by this is that each member of the body of believers that gather at 951 S Ferdon Blvd will connect to God and other believers through a corporate worship experience, is to daily be the hands and feet of Christ to the world. 

 

I have recently challenged the church that as a body of Christ followers we will execute the Great Commission and the Great Commandment with the greatest effectiveness and the greatest efficiency in our cultural context.  Now, we are still determining what we consider to be our cultural context, but I am excited about what God is going to be doing in the life of this congregation over the course of 2010.  I believe that people will be transformed as they grow together in the knowledge of the Lord through their small group and that they will form a bond of unity in Christ throughout that transformation that will become unbreakable.  I am also excited to see the ministries that I whole-heartedly believe God will develop as the growth and transformation takes place in this congregation – ministries that will greatly impact this community for Christ! I look forward to serving with you and for you!
