Pastor Bob Chase
Dear Church
Family,
As I write this I am wondering what has happened to summer?
It seems like only yesterday that I became your pastor.
When you read this I will have celebrated four wonderful months of
working together with some of the most wonderful people God has placed on
this earth.
Have you been amazed as I have about all that God has done in and
through our church family? I’m
reminded of the joy it has been to work with the leadership of this
church. You have all been a
special blessing to me personally and I thank God for your tender hearts,
teachable spirits, open minds, and a “Can
Do” attitude
that has glorified God and built up the Body of Christ.
God has taken us a long way these past four months and for everyone
in our church family who has caught the vision and gotten on board I am
grateful. It would be easy to
take a break and rest for awhile as we glory in all that God has
accomplished during these months of surrendering to His leadership and
Lordship.
But too much still remains undone and the souls of so many lost
folks remain in the balance to rest on our laurels now.
I believe that the best days of Central Baptist Church are still
ahead of us. There is much
work to be done and it will take all of our efforts to walk in step with
the Holy Spirit in the days ahead. Let
me challenge you pray about how God wants you to use your time, talents,
and treasures in the days ahead to glorify Him?
I am really excited about our Leadership Retreat at Blue Springs on
September 28th and 29th.
We have over 30 leaders who have made commitments to attend.
If you haven’t yet signed on to go with us, would you prayerfully
pray about going? We’ll need
your commitment within the next week if you desire to join us in this
wonderful opportunity. We
would also encourage all our church family to pray for those who are going
and for the Holy Spirit’s leadership as we seek His will and direction
for His church.
